Serie of 6 authentic Directoire mahogany chairs, ca 1800. Openwork inverted backrest decorated with arrows, 'saber' feet said " à l'Etrusque", in the style of Georges Jacob. Beautiful condition, fully restored and refurbished. Seat height: 44cm The Directoire style is a furnishing and decoration style in vogue from 1795 to 1803. Marking the transition between the Louis XVI and Empire styles, it is characterized by a sober workmanship and simple shapes.
