Elegant bistro chair in bentwood, made by the Swiss Horgen-Glarus factory, founded in 1880 in Horgen (canton of Zurich). Specializing in the manufacture of steam-bent wooden furniture, this company is the oldest chair factory still in operation in Switzerland. The model on offer is fully in the tradition of late 19th-century bistro chairs, with a bent-beech frame and a round seat in original natural cane. A period label still appears under the seat, stating : S.A. Fabriques Suisses de Meubles en bois courbé - HORGEN-GLARIS - HORGEN (Suisse). Swiss Manufacture - Guarantee. Provenance & authenticity: Swiss production, dated circa 1900, original label visible, authentic piece from one of the great names in bentwood furniture. Use: Chair ideal for vintage, classic or bistro chic interior design. Also suitable for professional furnishing projects (restaurants, hotels, charming boutiques, etc.).
