Series of 6 chairs in thermo-formed multiplex wood with black lacquered metal frames, in the Memphis style, designed by Karl Friedrich Forster for the publisher KKF around 1980.
Matt black lacquered metal frame, seats and backrests in folded plywood. In very good condition, very stable, comfortable seats.
With their hyper-graphic design, these chairs are a perfect example of the boldness of the 80s.
The MEMPHIS Group was founded in Milan in 1980 by Ettore Sottsass, and was subsequently followed by architects / designers Michele De Lucchi, Matteo Thun, Marco Zanini, Aldo Cibic, Andrea Branzi, Shiro Kuramata, Michael Graves, Peter Shire, Javier Mariscal, Barbara Radice, Martine Bedin, George J. Sowden, Masanori Umeda, Nathalie du Pasquier.... This group disbanded in 1988.
