Elegance, refinement and quality materials - this is a good summary of the definition of the Art Deco style.
This writing desk is French, circa 1925.
It is made of solid beech veneered with ash burr.
It is embellished with polished solid brass elements.
The flap is fitted with an original mirror for use as an occasional dressing table.
Behind the door, the pedestal contains a shelf.
The desk has been fully restored and repolished with a natural shellac pad.
It is therefore in near-perfect condition, with only the mirror showing a few traces of wear, which is natural given that it is over a hundred years old!
This is a quality piece of furniture in perfect condition, ideal as an elegant desk, occasional dressing table or why not as a console.
