Important pair of Italian-made table lamps, produced around the mid-20th century, in carved and patinated wood. The stems are each made from a single piece of wood, turned and profiled according to a baluster-like design, evoking classical architecture reinterpreted in the Italian aesthetic of the 1950s and 1960s.
The silhouette is continuous, fluid, without intermediate assembly, which testifies to precision filming work.
The mahogany brown patina is enhanced with touches of the original black lacquer in the hollows and edges, intended to highlight the volumes and accentuate the architectural effect of the form.
The lampshades, slightly trapezoidal in shape, are covered in a thick fabric in a warm tone, adorned at the bottom with a crocheted border, bringing a decorative touch of Italian spirit.
