Genet & Michon : a pair of French art deco lamps.. 1930 France

GENET & MICHON
A rare pair of French 1925-1930 art deco table lamps in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding globes in frosted and locally hand polished moulded-pressed glass. It are lamps by the famous maison of Philippe Genet and Lucien Michon. This model globe which exists in three sizes is never signed but a well known model by this illustrious designers duo. Here below I show a picture from an ad of Genet et Michon in a French magazine dating 1928. The bases are authentic G&M bases too. It was used with an open center as bases for these globes and a closed version exists as well which can be found as canopy on several model Genet et Michon chandelier fixtures. The lamps have a height of 17.8 cm (7 inches) and the diameter of the globes is 15cm (5-7/8). The pair is in excellent condition. I have renickeled and patinated the bases and they will come rewired. I will place new E14 sockets so you can use our modern light bulbs for them. For the USA or Japan I will wire them with American candelabra base sockets and US 2-prong plugs.
