Swivel office chair by OSVALDO BORSANI produced by TECNO in Italy in the 70's. Black "Modus Office" model from 1979 (see date under the chair), an aluminum structure under the seat makes it very stable. 5-star base in brushed aluminum. In good condition. Biography OSVALDO BORSANI is an Italian designer born in 1911, he studied architecture until 1937 at the Polytechnic of Milan. Silver medal at the Milan Triennale (Casa Minima). He joined his father Gaetano Borsani's business (furniture production). In 1953, he founded with his brother Fulgnzio the firm TECNO, designer furniture, functional and of high quality. The company will produce furniture for great designer architects such as GIO PONTI, MARIO BELLINI ..., a success. Note the D70 convertible sofa (1954), the P32 swivel chair (1956) and the P40 lounge chair (1954) ...
