2 original Indian ink and color plates on smooth cardboard (plate 18 page 20 and plate 21 page 23) created by Yumiko Igarashi for the magazine "Special Candy" published by Télé-Guide in 1978 (No. 14 “Arrival at college”).
Candy Candy is a manga originally created by Yumiko Igarashi (drawing) and Kyoko Mizuki (script) from 1975 to 1979, then adapted as an animated series by Toei Animation from 1976 to 1979.
In its French version, Candy Candy was known simply as Candy, and from 1978 onwards it was the talk of many TV programs.
As a comic strip, the story of Candy was published from 1977 by Télé-Guide, and special issues were also produced (32 issues) under the supervision of Toei Animation and Mizuki Igarashi Production Pictural.
Following a conflict between the scriptwriter and the illustrator in 1998, broadcasting and the production of new episodes were banned, as well as all new merchandising; since then, numerous lawsuits have taken place...
These two plates are therefore rare...
