De Ster Gelderland is a Dutch furniture manufacturer founded in the 1930s by the Oberman family.
Initially known as De Ster (“The Star”), it later became more widely identified under the Gelderland brand (named after the province where it is located).

The company became known in the 1950s–1960s for its modernist and mid-century design furniture, combining aesthetic simplicity and high quality of execution.


Vintage teak armchair, fully restored (cream-white velvet fabric)

The factory is not associated with a single designer: it has produced and published models by several creators, and sometimes under license from Scandinavian designers. Its most recognized pieces are armchairs, sofas and chairs with clean lines, often in solid wood (teak, rosewood, oak), with particular attention paid to comfort, functionality and durability.
Over time, De Ster / Gelderland has become a benchmark in Dutch design, and its vintage creations are now highly sought after by collectors of European mid-century design.
