Georges Leleu
A rare 1933-38 French art deco chandelier by the famous Paris based company of Georges Leleu. Georges founded the company by the turn of the century. It closed down in the late 30ies. The shade in thick moulded-pressed glass is mounted in a fixture out of waxed wood and nickel plated pressed brass. I show a picture of the 1932 and the 1936 G.Leleu posters representing the same bowl. It is signed on the inside of the shade. The chandelier on offer is 38 cm (15) high and the bowl has a diameter of 34,5 cm (13-9/16). It´s in very good condition. I have replated the brass mounting parts. Waxed the wood cleaned the glass and rewired the light. It holds two E14 sockets so you can use our modern light bulbs for it. I will add two good quality LED bulbs . For the USA Canada or Japan I will place American candelabra base sockets.
The lamp will be shipped by priority mail. Safely packed and fully insured. Free shipping offered for Belgium France Holland or Germany. A pick up in Rotterdam is possible as well.
