Verreries des Hanots
A very large 1925-1930 French art deco chandelier in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a hexagonal central bowl six glass panels and six side-shades in moulded-pressed glass by the glass manufactory Verreries des Hanots. The central bowl is signed verreries des Hanots France and the matching shades are signed Ollier. Ollier was a luxury shop and wholesale in lamp shades and chandeliers, 21 rue de l'Hirondelle and 6 place Saint-Michel in Paris. It offered a range of lamp shades of all major French and Bohemian glass factories. Hanots made a few models on special demand bearing the Ollier signature.

Holophane was a large company producing industrial glasses in high volumes, During the interbellum until around 1938 they made high quality lamp shades under the name of Verreries des Hanots and vases and sculptures with their brand name Verlys. Most shades of Hanots are unsigned and therefor unknow to a larger public but the quality of Hanots nad Verlys shades can match the other large French glass manufactories during the art deco era :Muller freres, Degué, Schneider and Gauthier..

The chandelier on offer is in excellent condition. It is 97 cm high (38-3/16) and 76,5cm (30-1/8inches) wide. The mounting is renickeled and patinated. It comes rewired with 12 E14 sockets. I will add good quality LED bulbs. For the US or Japan I will place American candelabra base sockets.

The chandelier can be shipped by priority mail. Safely packed in several parcels and fully insured. A pick up in Rotterdam is possible as well.
