Biography:

Georg Glaser (Frankental 1950 - Oupeye 2013).

A multidisciplinary Belgian-German artist, he studied at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1971 to 1973, at the University of Berlin from 1974 to 1979 in ethnology and archaeology, and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège from 1982 to 1983.

He has had numerous exhibitions since 1983, both in Belgium and abroad, including at the Liehrmann Gallery in Liège in 2013.

Georg Glaser's painting is a form of social criticism that frequently draws on a multitude of symbols, but it is also a criticism that is most often imbued with humour. The false simplicity of the drawing allows him to effectively translate onto canvas a sociological questioning that remains complex and connects him to the entire German expressionist past and present.
