Biography:
A painter trained at the Molenbeek-Saint-Jean Academy, he began in a neo-expressionist figurative style (portraits, figures) and evolved towards more geometric landscapes, sometimes snow-capped mountains and stylized trees (in an Art Deco style), and futuristic and cosmic cityscapes. Due to their penchant for synthesis, some works occasionally lean towards geometric abstraction. The music of Bach often plays a role in the construction and structure of his compositions. He was a member of the "L'Ebauche" circle (1952-1966) and, from 1960, of the "Jecta" circle.
