Monaco Series
Combining elements from the Monaco series, Judel brings the material of sand associated with the symbolic colors of the principality, red, and emblematic elements such as the sea and the black bitumen hosting the famous "Monaco Grand Prix".
Judel — Pure abstract energy
At just 11 years old, Jules Deleuse, aka Judel, is already making his canvases vibrate with surprising artistic maturity. Inspired by Jackson Pollock, the young Belgian painter has quickly established himself in the realm of gestural abstraction, where movement, color, and intuition engage in an intense dialogue.
For the past year and a half, Judel has been developing a dripping technique that is both free and deliberate. Armed with his palette and paint pots, he creates large canvases (often a meter or more in size), framed with masking tape—a graphic signature that structures the energy of his splashes. His technique has become more refined over time: where he once drew direct lines, he now favors controlled, rich, and vibrant splashes.
Each canvas is born from spontaneous inspiration, fueled by travels, landscapes, and current emotions. The colors, always carefully chosen, balance each other in an instinctive interplay between chaos and harmony. The titles, poetic or evocative—like "Vegetation Invasion"—extend this connection between nature and abstraction.
Judel has already won over the public during his first exhibitions in Liège (Galerie Yoko Uhoda) and Charleroi, where his works met with promising commercial success.
Between the tarpaulins of his workshop set up in the family garage, he pursues his pictorial quest with the same freshness and the same passion, aware that painting could well become, one day, his profession.
Judel is the passion of childhood in the service of a free, sincere and already profoundly artistic expression.
