LOUIS-MARIE LONDOT 'GRIS 1964' abstract brutalist painting oil on canvas

Abstract painting, oil and concretions on canvas by the painter Louis-Marie Londot, agglomerations and coloured impastos of the cement type (mixed technique in the manner of Bram Bogart's impasti), signed, dated and dated 1964 on the back (see photos).
This 'tone-on-tone' painting in matt black/grey (slightly bluish) has a very fine presence and depth, with dimensions that architects would say are 'more than perfect squares' (95 x 100cm).
Painting in perfect original condition.

M-L Londot is an essential artist of the abstract movement and then of Pop Art in Belgium (with Evelyne Axell, Pol Mara, .... )

Biography:
Louis-Marie Londot was born on 11 March 1924 in Namur (Belgium) and died on 15 December 2010 in Bioul (Belgium). A master of polychromatic sacred art, he initially moved towards abstract art, with simple and sometimes even anecdotal subjects, but an art always dominated by the artistic richness of contrast, materials and then colours.
He then moved on to Pop Art and took part in the 'Pop Art' exhibition at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels in 1965.
The Maison de la Culture in Namur devoted an exhibition to him in 1978, and a catalogue was published in 2015 during an exhibition devoted to him at the Maison de la Culture in Namur.
