Tony Cammaert, Antiquary-expert, specialised in ancient Japanese art for 45 years. Member of the Belgian Chamber of Art Experts.
Member of the Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers and Art Dealers of Belgium for 40 years.
Has taken part in numerous antiques fairs in Belgium (Palais des Beaux-Arts for 20 years, Tour et Taxis, Brugge, Knokke) and abroad: Maastricht, Paris (Grand Palais), London, Munich, Cologne, New York (Oriental Asian Antique Fair), Miami and Los Angeles (Netsukes convention). He has also taken part in and organised numerous exhibitions.
In 1973, he opened two shops in Antwerp, and 8 years later he opened a gallery on the Place du Grand Sablon, which he ran for 25 years, before acquiring the Chà¢teau d'Acoz in 2001. In the meantime, he has opened two galleries on the Rue Van Moer.
