The gate. Charming house in the dunes of the Belgian coast with its typical red-tiled roof. William Jelley (sometimes signed Guillaume Jelley) was born in Brussels. Trained as an architect, he attended the Brussels academy with Jean François Portaels, producing a large body of work in oil and watercolor that is rarely available for sale. His palette is fairly light, especially when painting outdoors.
