Marcel MARLIER was born in 1929 in Jemappes. He was a painter, watercolourist and decorator. Training at the Academies of Mons, Molenbeek and Etterbeek. Pupil of Désiré Haine. Prix E. Lebon in 1974. He had a studio at Rouge-Cloître in Auderghem and painted landscapes and figures. His works testify to a real mastery, with distant roots in expressionism, poetry and joie de vivre. He died in Auderghem in 1999.
