Luc GENOT (1943-1995): "in angry colour".
850,00 €
Belle huile sur toile avec un bel encadrement de la maison Schleiper de Bruxelles.
After brilliant painting studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, he travelled to Europe and exhibited in different French cities. In 1972, the artist found an audience in the Parisian show business; Michel Sardou acquired one of his works. Its inspiration crystallises around the female stereotype: nude tinged with eroticism or face with idealised beauty accompanied by heavenly birds or felines. The decorative aspect of its canvases makes it the ideal subject for various posters, postcards, book covers, posters ("Francofolies", La Rochelle, 1985), labels and record covers. In 1985, he realised the "Totems" of F.R.3, awards given to people of the show. We find its ornamental graphics in the murals of Huy, and Chez Max, a restaurant in Liège. Source: KIK-IRPA
