Johann Alexis ‘Black Dune II'
Dimensions: 180 x 120 x 5 cm
Johann Alexis von Haehling's work explores the links between art, philosophy and environmental action. His works, centred on consciousness, body and soul, encourage reflection on our societal roles and our environmental impact. Active since 2001 as a curator for various institutions, he founded the Arts & Nature Social Club to promote societal transformation through the social sculpture of Joseph Beuys. Influenced by renowned artists and thinkers, his minimalist art invites meditation and introspection. His recent works such as ‘Universal Rocks' and ‘Black Dune' use a variety of materials to create engaging pieces. Through his creations, von Haehling calls for a dialogue on sustainability, identity and the future of humanity.
Inspired by a quest for global harmony, Johann Alexis reduces surfaces and colours to the essential, creating spaces for reflection on human consciousness and our relationship with the world. His works, influenced by his work as a curator, incorporate a profound reflection on harmony and individual responsibility.
