Christian Hocquet was born on June 30, 1935 in Gosselies. He received the Grand Prize for Painting and Plastic Arts of Wallonia in 1981. He is a painter, draftsman, watercolourist, engraver of faces, female attitudes, couples, landscapes and seascapes. He paints opulent and spontaneous scenes of daily life and his region. He died on March 9, 2014 in Gosselies.
