Belgian Art Deco chiffonier in bird's eye maple, ca 1930
2.890,00 €
This is an Art Deco period piece of furniture. It was made in Belgium circa 1935/1940. This model is neoclassical in inspiration. It is made from sycamore maple, burr ash and oak for the interior structure. It has five drawers and two doors. All the doors are fitted with stamped solid bronze handles. The workmanship is of the highest quality, both in terms of solidity and attention to detail. This piece of furniture has remained in the same family since it was purchased around 1936. It is in a remarkable state of preservation, both cosmetically and functionally. It still has its original bevelled glass protecting the top of the chiffonier. It is varnished in the period and the carvings on the vertical jambs show traces of ceruse. This is a rare, high-quality, multi-purpose piece of furniture that will look great in any room in your home. The matching chest of drawers from the same set is also available.
